WPSD TV did the original story! Deputy Dintelman was involved in a off duty accident on Aug 27th where he was transported by helicopter to a Cape hospital. The IL state Police handled the accident and his blood alcohol was found to be .281 more that three times the limit. Sheriff Kern later fired Dintelman. The Pope county states attorney was appoint to prosecute the case. She dismissed the DUI charge for a Guilty plea to reckless driving by Dintelman. But WPSD reported the even the Reckless Driving charge was later dismissed. ALL CHARGES WHERE DISMISSED BY SOMEBODY? So everything was dismissed, but who did it. No body will admit to dismissing the charges. KFVS TV reported that Dintelman had been convicted of DUI in 2002 with a blood alcohol level of .284. This is over three times the legal limit too. The Pulaski county states attorney advised the Pulaski county board to hire Dintelman back as a Deputy. SO THE BIG QUESTION IS WHY WHERE ALL CHARGES DISMISSED AND BY WHOM.
