Mike Williams Update: Tampa Bay WR Expected To Start Despite DUI

Arrested early Friday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence, Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Williams is expected to start in Week 11 in spite of his run-in with the law.

Williams is the Bucs’ leading receiver in 2010 and has developed good chemistry with quarterback Josh Freeman, so his issues off the field weigh heavy on Tampa Bay’s chances of winning in Week 11.

According to reports, Williams is with the team in San Francisco and is expected to play, so there is no sign of the team taking internal disciplinary action to deal with Williams as of yet.

His situation bears watching in the weeks ahead should commissioner Roger Goodell get involved, but for now, Williams is sure to play.
