During a Drive Hammered, Get Nailed enforcement campaign conducted Nov. 25-Jan. 2., 155 drivers were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, according to a news release from the Washington Traffic Safety Commission.
Also according to the commission:
Statewide, law enforcement officers arrested 3,577 drivers on suspicion of DUI.
In Thurston County, the Lacey, Olympia, Tenino, Tumwater and Yelm police departments, the Sheriffâ€™s Office and the Washington State Patrol participated in the extra-emphasis patrols, with the support of Target Zero Thurston. The extra patrols were funded by a grant from the Traffic Safety Commission.
